With the COVID-19 crisis still very much active, ventilators\nare crucial for treating patients across Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organization\u2019s Web site offers a number of resources for different types of entities in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/globalhealthintelligence.com\/ghi-analysis\/the-best-equipped-hospitals-for-hosting-patients-in-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Mexico (opens in a new tab)\">Mexico<\/a><\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Medical facilities that\nneed ventilators<\/li><li>Ventilator designers who\nneed help with approvals and financing<\/li><li>Companies that can\nproduce ventilators and need supplies or approvals from COFEPRIS<\/li><li>Legal professionals who\ncan help with the approval or financing process<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The challenge for Plataforma Mex Vent was proactively identifying hospitals that are short on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/globalhealthintelligence.com\/ghi-analysis\/latam-hospitals-show-decreases-in-ventilator-counts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"ventilators (opens in a new tab)\">ventilators<\/a><\/strong>. The organization asked GHI for help, knowing that the company operates the world\u2019s largest hospitals database for Latin America and in fact recently highlighted ventilator shortages and other challenges facing hospitals dealing with COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using its HospiScope database, GHI was quickly able to identify medical institutions throughout Mexico with the most pressing need for ventilators.
